What do the official university tuition fees say for second, Quebec in Canada?
University tuition fees in Canada, from Statistics Canada. This source is answered live, so the page shows how to ask, not a number.
An official average or median published by a statistics office or regulator, not individual sales.
ProofPrice reads Statistics Canada when you ask, so the answer is always the latest published. It comes with its period, its source and its licence; a range built from records is given only when at least 5 records sit behind it.

- How fresh the source is
- Annual: one value per academic year (2026/2027 was published on 16 September 2026); every answer names its academic year
- Limits
- A weighted average of published (posted) tuition fees, not what any one student paid: grants, bursaries, scholarships and fee waivers are not deducted, and ancillary fees may be excluded. One average per province and level, no range and no sample size; programmes differ a lot (medicine, law and MBA programmes cost far more than arts). 'Canadian' students are Canadian citizens and permanent residents (the home rate). Yukon is mostly not published. Territories other than Yukon are not in the table.
- Rule
- A figure built from records is shown only when at least 5 records sit behind it; official statistics are shown as such, with their reference period. See how we earn trust and the method.
