What do households in Singapore pay for electricity?
Household and business energy prices in Singapore, from SP Group. This source is answered live, so the page shows how to ask, not a number.
Posted prices, as published by the official source. They are not individual receipts.
ProofPrice reads SP Group when you ask, so the answer is always the latest published. It comes with its period, its source and its licence; a range built from records is given only when at least 5 records sit behind it.
Ask for it: /api/v1/energy?country=SG&energy=electricity
Where this comes from
- Source
- SP Group electricity tariff, Low Tension supplies (domestic), annual, published by SP Group, published by Singapore's Department of Statistics (SingStat) on data.gov.sg
- Licence
- Singapore Open Data Licence (worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive use of the datasets, commercially or non-commercially, with attribution)
- Attribution
- Contains information from "Electricity Tariff Of SP Group" (SP Group, via SingStat) accessed from data.gov.sg, made available under the Singapore Open Data Licence version 1.0 (https://data.gov.sg/open-data-licence). ProofPrice converts cents to dollars and computes the year-on-year change.
- How fresh the source is
- Annual: the newest full calendar year (2025 was published in 2025-10); each answer states the year
- Limits
- A published annual tariff for domestic Low Tension supplies, not a count of paid bills, not an offer and not a quote. Excludes GST (9% from 2024) and the fixed monthly charges; the open-market retail plans that Singapore households can choose are not in it. Electricity only (no gas). No sample size.
- Rule
- A figure built from records is shown only when at least 5 records sit behind it; official statistics are shown as such, with their reference period. See how we earn trust and the method.
