What did homes sell for in Washington, DC?
Home sale prices in the United States, from District of Columbia. This source is answered live, so the page shows how to ask, not a number.
Prices recorded in official records of completed sales. Asking prices are never used.
ProofPrice reads District of Columbia when you ask, so the answer is always the latest published. It comes with its period, its source and its licence; a range built from records is given only when at least 5 records sit behind it.

Where this comes from
- Source
- Tax System Property Sales (CAMA): residential and condominium tables, published by District of Columbia, Office of the Chief Financial Officer (Office of Tax and Revenue), published on Open Data DC
- Licence
- Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0), as stated on the dataset record in the US federal data catalogue (publisher: Office of the Chief Financial Officer)
- Attribution
- Source: District of Columbia, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Tax System Property Sales (CAMA), Open Data DC. Licensed CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0). Figures are ProofPrice aggregates of the published sale records.
- How fresh the source is
- Updated daily from the District's Computer-Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) system; the newest sales are a few days old
- Limits
- Washington, DC as a whole only: no neighbourhood or ZIP code. Houses/rowhouses and condominiums; commercial property and vacant land are not read. Only qualified (arm's-length) sales of $10,000 or more. Each table holds the newest sale of every property, so a property sold twice in the window counts once (its newer sale). Aggregates only, never addresses, parcel numbers or names.
- Rule
- A figure built from records is shown only when at least 5 records sit behind it; official statistics are shown as such, with their reference period. See how we earn trust and the method.
